From LeadsCon to Lead Checks: What’s New at Rex Validate | Page 21
Back from LeadsCon and back to building. In this edition, I’m sharing some quiet but meaningful updates we've made to Rex Validate. From new client-facing features to a behind-the-scenes, look at how we're using better data to reduce false negatives (and unlock more good leads).
Welcome to my business diary! Here, I’ll be sharing my journey of building Rex Martech from the ground up. You’ll get an insider’s view of the highs, lows, and everything in between—from achieving technical milestones to navigating legal and financial challenges.
Whether you’re an aspiring entrepreneur or simply curious, this will give you a raw, authentic look at the process of launching a tech startup.
In addition, I will also share my LinkedIn posts from the previous week (listed below). Feel free to join the conversations and express your thoughts.

A Page From My Business Diary ~
I’ve returned from LeadsCon 2025, and it was everything I hoped it would be. Great conversations, a fresh dose of perspective, and a renewed sense of why we're doing the work we’re doing.
Now that I’m back and recharged, it feels like the right time to share a few things we’ve been quietly rolling out at Rex Validate behind the scenes.
Building Quietly…
Not every update is headline-worthy, but some of the most important ones often start quietly.
We’ve been heads-down refining pieces of Rex Validate. While we haven’t added a ton of new accounts lately (slow but steady progress there), we have made some important product changes driven, as always, by the people using it.
A Little More Transparency
One of the more requested features was a way for Rex Validate users to see exactly which validations are available and which ones are active in their campaigns. So, we built it.
It’s essentially a checklist that shows what’s switched on, what each check does, how many credits it costs, and which fields are required.
The goal is to help users understand what’s running behind the scenes, and maybe surface some features they didn’t know we had.
Now Featuring Client Notes
We also added a space for client notes right on the platform.
That means we can now post quick updates on the dashboard — like, “Stripe is live, go add credits!” or “Here’s a new validation you might want to test.” Small quality-of-life improvement, but a nice one.
Digging Into False Negatives
We’ve been doing some deeper work too, especially around false negatives.
If you're new here: false negatives happen when a lead gets marked invalid but probably shouldn’t have been. That’s a problem.
We can’t sell the lead. Clients can’t use it. Everyone loses.
So we’ve started pulling in additional property data (things like home characteristics) to help us determine if a lead really deserves to be invalidated. We’re not making decisions off this new data just yet, but the analysis is underway.
Why this matters.
Ultimately, the goal is to increase validated volume, but with confidence.
We’re not guessing. We’re not loosening filters just to pump numbers. We’re trying to unlock more good leads using better data, so that everyone earns more without lowering the bar.
It’s small steps like these that’s been moving the product forward. Quietly, but meaningfully.
